Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as recording audio on a survey?

No. Survey voice recording captures optional audio during a questionnaire. Qualitative research is either a live moderated video focus group or a Transcript with Report study from an uploaded video or audio file. Both give you a full transcript, theme coding, and a dedicated insight report.

What is Transcript with Report?

Transcript with report is for interviews you already recorded. Upload a video or audio file. Sentink AI Model transcribes it with speaker labels, then you use the same results page as a live session: edit the transcript, code themes, ask Adam, and generate the report. There is no live meeting room or participant invites.

Does it include theme coding or a codebook?

Yes. After the session—or after the upload is transcribed—you can extract hierarchical themes or unique entities from the transcript, click a code to read matching turns, add manual codes, and export the codebook. The AI insight report still gives the narrative readout—summary, findings, quotes, and recommendations—in the language you choose.
