Overview
Surveys are the core collection experience. Sentink combines a visual builder, 50+ templates, branching and skip logic, validation (including email, number, and regex), file uploads and image pickers, matrices, rankings, scales, NPS, custom theming for respondents, optional session voice recording with consent and secure upload tied to responses, and AI that generates drafts from prompts or uploaded briefs (PDF, Word, outlines). AI Quality Check reviews branching, skips, conditional visibility, and inconsistencies before publish and highlights strengths, cautions, and critical gaps.
When to use this feature
Step-by-step guide
Choose a creation path
Start blank, select a template, describe your goal to AI, or upload a brief (PDF/Word/outline) for a first draft.
Run AI Quality Check before launch
Review severity-tagged findings on logic, branching, and question consistency; fix critical gaps found in the builder.
Structure pages and logic
Group related blocks, split long studies across pages with save-and-resume where enabled, pipe answers forward, add conditional visibility, and trim unnecessary branches.
Design validation and uploads
Set required rules, masking, uploads, ranking/matrix/NPS layouts, respondent branding, consent copy, and voice recording only when policy and UX allow.
Preview and test end-to-end
Submit test responses across every branch on mobile and desktop.
Connect distribution and quotas
When content is verified, attach distribution programs, quotas, and close rules from the Distribution and Quotas guides.
AI-assisted, human-approved
Use AI drafting and Quality Check to move faster; keep experts in the loop before participants see the questionnaire.
Screens / UI explanation
Builder surfaces separate content structure, respondent theme, logic, integrations, publishing, and (where available) AI tools.
Voice capture (if enabled) should always show consent, duration caps, and clear respondent controls.
Templates accelerate repeating programs like CX trackers or employee pulses.
Best practices
Ask one decision per screen when possible.
Keep quotas and sampling rules aligned with questionnaire wording.
Treat AI drafts and quality checks as assistive—you still approve every question respondents see.
Tips
Duplicate a proven survey rather than cloning logic manually.
After renaming answer options, re-test logic that referenced the old labels.
Common issues
Completion rate is low.
Shorten the survey, simplify required fields, lighten matrices, and move open ends to the end.
Logic behaves unexpectedly.
Walk each branch in preview; confirm deletes/renames did not break conditional rules.
Voice upload fails.
Verify consent text, respondent browser permissions, workspace storage limits, and network stability.
FAQ
Can I create multilingual surveys?
Yes. Combine multilingual survey settings with the Languages & localization guide for authoring and respondent toggles.
Does Sentink support long surveys?
Yes—use multi-page flows and save-and-resume when your program requires lengthy instruments.
Where can I learn about NPS and CSAT survey pages?
See the product pages for NPS (/features/nps) and customer satisfaction (/features/csat), plus Analytics & reporting (/features/analytics-reporting) for charts, segments, and dashboards.
